About Us

    About Abbotsfield Funeral Directors

Abbotsfield Funeral Directors recognises how important it is to be at the heart of our local Ross on Wye and Hereford community.

The teams at our Ross on Wye and Hereford funeral homes will provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process, and will arrange an individual and unique funeral to help you celebrate the life of your loved one. We have our own on-site service venue.

Here at Abbotsfield Funeral Directors we also offer an affordable prepaid funeral plan, Choice, so that you can arrange and pay for a funeral in advance. This will protect your family from rising costs and remove uncertainty about your wishes.

If you would like to talk to us about planning a funeral, or our Choice plan, please come and see us in any of our funeral homes, or if you’d rather we can arrange a home visit. We’re also available 24 hours a day on the phone so if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call your local funeral home.

    Meet the Team

    Jacqui Williams

    Funeral Arranger

What you like best about your role?

I enjoy meeting people and being able to help everyone at a very difficult time. Every day I learn something different and no two days are ever the same. I also like to help other members of staff and support them if they need it.

Have you done any other roles in the funeral profession?

I started as a funeral arranger and I am now training to become a funeral director.

    Specific memories/proudest moment at work?

I feel so privileged when I am asked to be involved with helping families during their most traumatic and vulnerable time. My proudest moment was when my father asked me to conduct his funeral and I carried out his instructions exactly as he wanted them. I know my father would have been very proud of his little girl.

    Interests

I enjoy travelling, spending time with my family especially my grandchildren and my very spoilt dogs.

    Diane Jones

    Funeral Arranger

Diane has lived in the area for over 50 years, and joined Abbotsfield in 2016, after spending eight years in the administration team at Hereford Academy. After being widowed 13 years ago, she appreciated the help she received arranging her husband’s funeral, and is committed to providing the same care and professionalism to others. Outside work, most of Diane’s time is spent renovating her house in Peterstow. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, and supports cancer charities.
